56Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communications
When I graduated high school in 1990, I had a seventh grade reading level. I would tell my high school teachers that, I needed to go to college and they just laughed at me.
I wasn't able to go to Metro State, until I brush up on my basic education. So, I started at the Community College of Denver. I spend a year working on my courses, that they should have given in high school. My special ed. teacher that I had in high school; told me that "disabled people worked in workshops, and I'd be wasting money by going to college!" Where it was time to take the SAT'S, she filled out all of the answers for me.
I faced "Negative Attitudes" all my life! From doctors to my teachers, so I had to learn at a very young age that, if I wanted it bad enough I could do it. I have my family to thank for that.
I will write about true life experiences, in hopes to help my audience know that nobody can stop you. By the way, after eleven years of college I have a Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communications. And, on July 26, 2008, I even got married.
Graduated from Metropolitan State College
